Moonshiners
Moonshiners have been around in the U.S. since the Whiskey Rebellion of the 1790s; surprisingly, there are still a number of Americans who make moonshine, an illegally produced distilled beverage, mainly in the Appalachian region of the country; this docuseries tells the stories of people who brew their shine, often under the cloak of darkness in woods near their homes, and the authorities who try to keep them honest; the show allows viewers to witness practices rarely seen on television, including firing up the still for the first time, a moonshiner's rite of passage; the show also introducers viewers to moonshining legends such as Marvin Sutton.
S13, EP9 "Tickle's Restaurant"
On the midseason premiere, Tickle and Carol open their new restaurant while Tickle contends with conflicting priorities; Mark and Digger enlist Amanda to improve their wildly popular hazelnut rum; Josh shocks his outlaw partners.
S12 "True Crime & Shine"
Mark, Digger and Tim explore the 1970s-era Tennessee-Mississippi border where famed lawman Buford Pusser battled a crime mob fueled by illegal liquor money and ignited a lasting mystery about the disappearance of his would-be assassins.
S13 "Pappygate Conspiracy"
Moonshiners Mark, Digger, Tim and Tickle delve deep into bourbon country's darkest secret; when 200 bottles of the coveted Pappy Van Winkle vanish, the theft of the world's most expensive bourbon is just the tip of a staggering criminal conspiracy.
S13 "The Real McCoy"
Moonshiners Mark, Digger and Tim delve deep into the case of the most prolific and elusive bootlegger of the Prohibition era; declared Public Enemy Number One by the government, Bill McCoy's mission was about a lot more than just fame and fortune.
S14, EP10 "Floodwater Runs Deep"
After Hurricane Helene flooded Appalachia, Mike and Jerry find their new submarine still washed away; Tickle tries to persuade accident-prone Josh not to return to racing; Richard gets a special order, but tracking the fruit proves a thorny problem.
S14, EP8 "Bolt Action"
Mark and Digger enlist a Kentucky moonshiner to make bourbon; Mike and Jerry find Mark and Huck's still site and make a revenge plan; a shot changes the situation.
S14, EP7 "Respect Your Elderberries"
