A staple of the rural landscape, barns have served U.S. society for more than 200 years. Many of the old structures have fallen into disrepair because of time and weather. In this series, Mark Bowe and his crew of West Virginia-based craftsmen salvage antique barns and cabins before the timber can deteriorate. Their goal is to put new life into worn-out structures. Among its projects, the crew tackles disassembling an antebellum log cabin in West Virginia, refurbishing it and rebuilding it for a collector in Tennessee.

Mark and the guys create a rustic family gathering place in Franklin, Tenn. for a homeowner who loves 19th century hand-hewed craftsmanship; the property sits on a former horse farm that now serves as a dog rehabilitation camp.

The guys revive a 19th century cabin taken down in Ripley, W.Va; for a break, they to the state fair; they go to the Barnwood Living backlot, where they're challenged to make a 30-foot timber frame enclosure using only spare parts.
